AT SIMBA LOGISTICS, SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT
FOR PUBLIC, PERSONNEL AND PLANT
All Simba Logistics plant equipment such as Forklifts, Cranes, Trucks, Trailers and Light Duty Vehicles undergo constant preventative maintenance and pre-trip checkups to ensure the safe working of brakes, electrical work and tires.
Ensuring regular maintenance reduces the risk of accidents and in the end the safety of the public and personnel.
Simba Logistics enforces a strict PPE Policy among its personnel from its Port Operations, to Mechanics on the Shop Floor and ultimately to Drivers on Route.
This zero-tolerances policy not only aims at practicing safety, but teaching the benefits of being safe and acknowledging the responsibility of maintaining a "Safe Zone"
Simba Logistics is fully committed to the safety of pedestrians along transit corridors. Simba Logistics has trained and identified areas where it is paramount for its drivers to ensure that driving speed is regulated.
Simba Logistics understands that access to markets is of vital importance for the African public, and understands that trunk road encroachment is part and parcel to the livelihood of the public in remote areas. For the safety of pedestrians and villagers, Simba Logistics has a strict "ignition off policy" of not driving after 6pm local times.
